Linda McCray, liturgical artist, will share her abstract spiritual original paintings to illustrate how abstract art can work in sacred space and ways to help your congregation connect with abstract art. Linda will also present a case study and experience Linda’s creative process through her abstract Stations of the Cross project.

Roberto Chiotti will present on the Architecture of Eco-Theology: More than just applying sustainable design strategies to sacred space, Roberto’s church architecture and liturgical designs attempt to tangibly, realistically, and meaningfully embody the tenets of eco-theology such that the architecture itself becomes a form of catechesis.

Heather Craig, a professional archivist, will provide an overview of the kinds of information she has found to be helpful to preserve your collection; as well as, provide suggestions for retention, organization and documentation of a personal collection of research.

Christine Reinhard, a liturgical consultant, will share from her experience and insight how our design for sacred theologies is balanced with guidelines by church leaders. Christine is and always has been a Spirit led consultant. She will talk about the ramifications as well as the joys of being Spirit led.  

This is a brief history of a journey through the design and creation of mosaic art for liturgical settings. The presentation will discuss the process of creating an artwork for a spiritual space and how this differs to secular architectural commissions. The mosaics are created through a collaborative process which involves conversations with the pastor, the architect and the community using the space.
