The Communion of Saints

Location: Shepherdstown, West Virginia
Completed: 2010

The Communion of Saints are rendered in etched glass on eight movable glass panels and a door (each over 9 ft tall and the assembled panels totaling 30 ft wide) in the new sanctuary of St. Agnes Catholic Church. The glass panels enclose a Day Chapel (used for smaller services), separating the smaller chapel from the adjacent entrance narthex. The glass panels can be rolled out of the way to combine chapel and narthex into a larger gathering space. The life-sized figures are drawn from scripture and from the history of the church, the parish, and the town of Shepherdstown.
