Laguna Presbyterian Church Renovation
This Spanish Revival church was built in 1927 with a chancel addition completed in 1948 and had minor remodeling during the 1970’s and 80’s. The primary goal of the renovation was to return the splendor of the original Spanish Revival style, enlarge the Chancel for music and worship and to build for the next 50 years. The Presbyterian worship focus is Table, Word and Font. Working within the context of an existing processional plan Table, Word and Font were pulled forward and became central to the space. The renovated worship space reflects the centrality of these elements and are surrounded by the choir, music ministry and the congregation. All the liturgical objects and elements were custom designed or refurbished. Table, Pulpit, Lectern are constructed of carved cherry and custom iron-work. The font has a custom cast glass bowl resting on custom iron-work. Client: Laguna Presbyterian Church
