ACLS Retreat 2023

ACLS is delighted to announce that our 2023 ACLS Retreat will take place in person, August 17-20, at Mount Angel Abbey, St. Benedict, Oregon. Our keynote speaker is noted architectural scholar, Michael Crosbie presenting on “The Design of Multi-generational Worship Spaces”.

The recently renovated and expanded Benedict Guesthouse and Retreat Center of Mount Angel Abbey has conference and meeting rooms with plenty of room for quiet space, small break-out groups, and receptions.

Participants are also invited to join the Benedictine Community in their worship services. Tour the Library, a world-renowned building designed by Finnish architect, Alvar Aalto. Visit the library’s extensive collection of Medieval Illuminated Manuscripts from Abbey’s collection of rare books. Enjoy the fruit of the community’s Brewery or spend quiet time walking the capacious grounds.

Our keynote speaker is Michael Crosbie, for many years the editor of Faith & Form and the driving force behind their Art and Architecture Awards. He brings his years of experience to his presentation on the design of multi-generational worship spaces.
