Decisions regarding the worship of the community and the space where that worship takes place require the utmost reverence and care. After all, this is where the Assembly of God’s People encounters the Living God! The best decisions about church buildings are made when the whole community participates in the decision and all its components: evaluation of existing space and needs; catechesis and liturgical-theological formation; studying the tradition of the church and local history; participation in planning and design with various professionals and artists; praying and reaching out to the alienated. I hope to help communities shape a place of worship that best reflects the tradition of the church and who the community is and what they are called to be.
