Service Provided:
The services for congregations vary with the needs of each community. These services guide the congregation through the visioning and dreaming, the design and construction and then assisting in the use of their new worship space. My background combines academic understanding with practical experience in liturgy, architecture, art and design. A long-standing network of colleagues, architects, artist and fabricators allows me to bring a wide spectrum of complementary expertise to any project. Services include: Educational process, liturgical formation and history; religious art and architecture; sacred space; architectural process programming and planning; vision analysis, organizational and strategic planning, liturgical programming, artistic programming; Facilitation, experienced presenter and facilitator who can work with committees to form consensus. Artistic direction and design - liturgical furnishings, collaborative design work with architect and artists and fabricators. Coordinate selection of art and artists; Historic Preservation - Research and Consulting in historic preservation

Philosophy/Approach:
My approach to working on worship spaces is one of respect. Careful listening and prayerful reflection are at the core of a process that is collaborative in nature and results in consensus decision-making while providing a faith community with opportunities for spiritual growth. Our visual goal during the time of this unique ňúteachable moment" is a worship space of the highest quality of design, workmanship and materials; one which recalls our rich tradition of spaces of transcendence; one that will transform, nourish and sustain the prayer life of the faith community.

Qualifications:
As an experienced award-winning liturgical design consultant working nationally, my background combines art and architecture, preservation, and liturgy. Education: history of art and architecture (U of MN), liturgy (Institute for Liturgical Consulting, CTU Chicago, certified) Teaching: University of Saint Thomas, Metropolitan State University in the Twin Cities; guest lectures, U of MN College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture and Luther Seminary. Research and publications on American religious architecture including the recent video and study guide Architecture for Worship. Presentations at major conferences - Form/Reform, National Trust for Historic Preservation, Sacred Trusts, LSTC. Leadership: founder, past president Association of Consultants for Liturgical Space; Vice Chair Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, and Architecture Committee of the AIA; active member in the North American Academy of Liturgy; past president, Minnesota Society of Architectural Historians; past chair, art and environment committee for the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis.
